The Order of the White Robe is a religious organisation in the Feyleth Tropic.
The Order of the White Robe have a few core tenets of their religion. They focus on self betterment, and believe that this is best achieved in isolation from the world. As part of their individual focus in self betterment, individuals do not prepare food and do not own assets. Instead, they wander the streets of Karstenfey bearing a bowl for offerings. They do not own horses or land, and as such return to the temple in the Feyleth Tropic by foot to sleep.
The order plays a fundamental part in the political system of Karstenfey. During the foundational days of Karstenfey, it was deemed necessary to have the power of the senate derived from an almighty power, such that it may reign over the house of lords with impunity and irreverence for personal woes. As such, the order is involved in many of the processes of the senate, including the appointment of new members, removal of existing members through a system of religious trial, retirement rituals, and in some select cases, mediation.
