Ridgel Luthehd is the leader of The Reform Party, and a deputy in the chamber of deputies of The Falderian Empire.
Early Career
Ridgel Luthehd’s career in politics was inevitable. He had been raised by his parents explicitly for this purpose. As a young child, Ridgel studied at Academy Falderia in matters of diplomacy, speaking, and arcane culture. Despite not being a magic user himself Ridgel was often found in sorcerer and wizard lectures, studying the capabilities of his enabled peers.
Following his education, Ridgel quickly found a role as a properties manager at a firm owned by his father’s friend. With such a high value portfolio under his command, Ridgel earned the begrudging respect (or fear) of New Thonham’s prominent medium enterprises. Mobilising his new found power, Ridgel started a competitor property management firm utilising his existing connections. With the backing of his father, Ridgel quickly acquired many similar properties, exploding his personal wealth.
After a few years running his firm, Ridgel was ready to enter politics. He sold his business to his father, and began openly campaigning for one of the 7th Octant Chamber of Deputies seats. Recognising the power of the Luthehd family, he won his seat as an independent with little competition.
The Reform Party
After his first term in the Chamber of Deputies, Ridgel formed The Reform Party. Clearly dissatisfied with the direction of The Falderian Empire, Ridgel wrote various policies on the topic of economic reform, with a goal to “reclaim the former glory” of The Falderian Empire.
Over the course of two further terms, the party rapidly grew in power and number, claiming many seats in the chamber of deputies. Recently, The Reform Party has taken a majority in the chamber, allowing them to unilaterally pass policy changes.
