Eschenfeld is the economic union of the nations of Emberia and Sylvana, both of which formed during The Thonham Accords. It is home to the majority of the free-folk population of Falderia.
In the few hundred years since The Race Wars, Eschenfeld has bloomed into a strong power comprised of small distributed settlements. After The Race Wars, dwarves across Falderia sought out their own “slice of heaven”. Those seeking to make a name in trade and enterprise founded businesses in Embersail, the Emberia capital, while those seeking to harvest from the land sowed small farms amongst the woods of the north. Particularly industrious individuals took over and began new enterprises in the settlements of Hovehelm and Hammerston.
Hammerston is the final point of defense in Emberia, with dwarves expected to retreat and defend the mountain bound mines in the event of another war.
Eschenfeld is a hugely prosperous nation, with both of the largest mines in Falderia. Hammerston produces the bulk of Falderia’s iron, whilst Hovehelm extracts much of the precious metal found on the continent.
Eschenfeld does not produce enough food to feed the population of Embersail, let alone the rest of the nation. It regularly trades with The Falderian Empire, and determined individuals often turn a profit trading with elusive elves from The Eroan Wilds and Molvania.
Not much is known about the operations of Sylvana, only that the elves of The Eroan Wilds seem self sufficient without need to engage on the Falderia political stage.
