The Bastille of Balaphai, the cultural and governmental centre of the Bersoni Monks rests upon the side of Mount Erania in The Cardlemounts. It is a medium sized stone and mortar structure with three lookout towers. It sits slightly set into the mountain in a large opening. For the uninitiated, there appears to be no entrance, and the cliff faces offer no hold to climb.****
