The Church of Kulkysm is a religious organization practicing Kulkysm. Its roots are predominantly in the populations of The Falderian Empire and those that remain in The Old Thonham Wasteland.
Teachings
The Church of Kulkysm is founded upon the Kulkys Rites. The Church of Kulkysm teaches it’s congregants to have faith in the god above whose divine power created this world through Kulkystion. The way our world exists and behaves is a direct result of god’s plan and god’s action. The true god above manifests itself in many forms, firstly as Kulkystion, the source of all existence, and further as empowered forms who bring forth his will.
The Kulkys Rites speak of the tides, and The Church of Kulkysm interprets such as a direct effect of God’s will, part of a divine design. The faith teaches that an individual cannot know God’s plan as explained in chapter one of the Kulkys Rites, and therefore should not be concerned. Instead, individuals can pray to God or it’s empowered individuals to seek change. The faith teaches the God will provide in accordance with God’s plan, and not to be discouraged when God does not answer, for life is God’s largest gift to us all through Kulkystion.
The church teaches that evidence is present in everything we see and touch. The world as it has sprouted forth from Kulkystion, the Falderian sands, the sun, the moon, the tides, the grass, all we see is evidence of the divinity of the true god.
Followers and believers must live their faith, both through their exact behaviors in relation to the moralistic teachings and through Kulkysia. Disciples of the church must have faith in God’s plan, regardless of personal circumstance.
The Church of Kulkysm fundamentally acknowledges that change exists, although it’s practices seem to be opposed to this. The organisation seeks to minimise change in it’s beliefs and understandings, but instead focuses on the change it brings to areas it has influence, particularly through high ranking members of it’s congregations.
The Church of Kulkysm has relatively simple moralistic teachings exemplified by the Darneth’s Fables, underwritten by a list of tenets:
- You shall put your faith before all.
- You must make the passage of Kulkysia
- You shall not bear sword and preach. (Don’t threaten people to follow the faith)
- You shall not sully your name
- You shall bear the truth
- You shall protect the life of the free
- You shall not own another man
